Bettelman Education Scholarship

The Bettelman Education Scholarship supports incoming freshmen with $3,000 scholarships who are California residents, citizens of the United States, and have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students with a high school unweighted grade point average between 3.0 and 3.7. The scholarship may be renewed in the second year of attendance for $1,500, based on satisfactory academic progress and continued need.

Complete the Leah Bettelman Educational Scholarship application.

  • Answer the additional short answer question.
  • Provide a transcript – either official or unofficial.
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a school instructor, counselor, or administrator.

Again, although a transcript and letter of recommendation are optional for the general financial aid application, they are required to be considered for the Bettelman scholarship.
