Nancy Diane Orford Endowed Scholarship

With preference to current UCLA students diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and secondarily to students with other disabilities, the Nancy Diane Orford Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1993. Students must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated financial need via the FAFSA. Preference will also be given to those who demonstrate a strong commitment to service activities and/or the community. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS AWARD IS FOR STUDENTS ENROLLING DURING AY 2025-26.

  7. Please write a 150-word bio in third person that summarizes any obstacles you have overcome, as well as your level of commitment to, and key achievements in, community service. Please also include a brief statement of current career goals.

LETTER OF REFERENCE: Please provide the name and email of someone (not a peer or family member) who will provide a letter of reference on your behalf that speaks to how you have managed challenges in pursuing your studes and/or your service activities. Be sure to obtain permission from your recommender before submitting their name and email address. Your recommender will automatically receive a link prompting them to upload the recommendation via the UCLA Scholarship Portal.
