Vlahakis-Hanks Undergraduate Scholarship

The Vlahakis-Hanks Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2018 to support an annual undergraduate scholarship in the College of Letters and Science. Eligible students must demonstrate leadership in Hellenic causes, environmental issues, or community empowerment. The UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture will determine the amount and term of each awarded scholarship.

The next award will be dispersed in Fall 2025.

Requirements:

• Personal Statement: Complete as part of general application in scholarship portal, not to exceed 250 words.
• Leadership Statement: Describe in 350-500 words (max of 4,000 characters including spaces) how you demonstrate leadership in one or more of these areas: Hellenic causes, environmental issues, or community empowerment.
• Curriculum vitae or resume.
