George and Cleola Gavalas Graduate Fellowships for Archaeology

The George and Cleola Gavalas Fund for Archaeology was established to provide graduate fellowships to students studying archaeology in Greece, from any period of the country’s history. The next award will be distributed in summer 2025.

To apply, please submit to hellenic@humnet.ucla.edu the following documents:
● Letter of intent including:
○ A. Confirm you are a graduate student traveling to Greece in the upcoming summer, the approximate time frame when you will be there, and provide a description of your project (not to exceed one page)
○ B. Home department
○ C. Year of study
○ D. Contact information
● Curriculum Vitae (CV)
● Two (2) recommendation letters; the letters should be sent directly from the recommenders
