UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART) 2025 Sigman Scholars Summer Program for UCLA Undergraduate Students
The UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART) invites applications for the 2025 Sigman Scholars Summer Program. The program is for UCLA undergraduate students who are currently working with UCLA CART faculty or who have concrete plans to work with UCLA CART faculty beginning this summer. This 8-12 week summer research position is designed to provide a rigorous, in-depth research experience for those interested in pursuing a career in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Fields of potential study include both basic and clinical research, across disciplines including genetics, psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, and education.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Undergraduate student currently enrolled at UCLA
- Currently working with UCLA CART faculty or who have concrete plans to work with UCLA CART faculty beginning this summer
- 8-12 week availability
APPLICATION and GUIDELINES: Applicants must submit:
A one-page Research statement:
- Research and clinical experience, particularly as it pertains to autism
- Specific areas of interest
- Anything else about your background that you think warrants further attention.
CV
A letter of recommendation from the UCLA faculty with whom the student is requesting to work, and an additional letter from another mentor or faculty.
