Edna and Yu-Shan Han Endowed Award

The Edna and Yu-Shan Han Endowed Award was established in 1992 to provide fellowships to outstanding graduates enrolled in the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Preference shall be given to a student of Chinese descent.
  2. The student must demonstrate professional promise and artistic talent in the aesthetics and techniques of theatre, film and television.
  3. The student must be a registered M.F.A., M.A., or Ph.D. candidate with a grade point average of at least 3.5
  4. The student must have demonstrated financial need.
  5. The student must be of good character.

The faculty awards committee shall select the number of finalists with review by the trustees of the Edna and Yu-Shan Han Foundation. The announcement of the award shall be made in the spring quarter of each year.
