Sociology Travel Grant

• Sociology Travel Grant*
  The department will award up to $300 to offset the cost of airfare used to travel to a conference to present a sociology paper or poster.

Eligibility Criteria
The Travel Awards program assists UCLA sociology majors with travel expenses to enable them to present papers at professional conferences. Students may apply for a grant, on a rolling basis, to fund travel that will occur within the following 6 months. Awards may be used only for transportation costs to and from the conference or place of research.

-Be a currently enrolled sociology major at the time of application

Application Deadline
Rolling applications throughout the academic year.

Application Materials
1.Paragraph abstract of research or conference paper given
2.Confirmation that your paper was accepted to a conference (if applicable)
3.A brief statement of support from your faculty mentor
