Edie and Lew Wasserman Alumni Scholar Need Grant

The Edie And Lew Wasserman Scholars Endowment was established in 1994 by the Wasserman Foundation to provide need-based grants up to $5,000 for continuing Alumni Scholars in the upcoming academic year. Other Alumni Need Grants are available, as well. All Alumni Scholars with demonstrated need are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility:
- Must be a current Alumni Scholar completing your first-, second- or third-year at UCLA.
- Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Visit our website for full details.
- Must be enrolled full-time (Minimum of 12 units per quarter) for the upcoming academic year at UCLA.
- Must have completed a minimum of 36 units in the past year (Minimum of 12 units per quarter) at UCLA by the end of spring quarter.
- Must have applied for FAFSA/CADAA and received need-based financial aid that includes subsidized loans, and/or work-study.
- Must have completed your 30 hours of renewal service, including 10 at UCLA, in the past year. (Confirmation will be provided by George Brown)
Note:
- While a 3.0 GPA is required for Wasserman, other Alumni Need grants using this application only require a 2.0 GPA {satisfactory academic progress}, but you must meet the remaining requirements above)
- Incoming Alumni Scholars DO NOT need to apply for these need-based awards, but will be awarded automatically based on their FAFSA or CADAA application. You WILL need to apply beginning in the spring quarter at the end of your first year.
- Your Alumni Need Grant may be reduced during the year, if you receive further gift aid that would go over the maximum allowed by your FAFSA/CADAA determination.
