Steven J. Sackler Endowed Scholarship

The Steven J. Sackler Endowed Scholarship was established in 1983 in memory of Steven J. Sackler, who died August 16, 1983, after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. He was a patient at UCLA’s John Wayne Cancer Clinic. This gift provides an annual scholarship to an undergraduate, who had or is experiencing a major illness such as cancer, heart disease, cystic fibrosis, etc., or a physical disability. Preference will be given to a cancer patient. The student selected should need financial assistance and have displayed courage in the completion of his/her previous academic work.
