Matthew B. Palazzolo Memorial Scholarship

The Matthew B. Palazzolo Memorial Scholarship is a perpetual, annual need-based scholarship established in 2021 to provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students who have actively supported UCLA’s LGBTQ Center’s mission and vision to ensure that Matt’s passion for social justice and equality lives on through its recipients. Each contribution to this fund will ensure that the annual scholarship amount grows each year in perpetuity.
The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center’s mission is to support students and employees of all genders and sexual and romantic orientations through community-building events, resources, counseling, outreach, training, consultation and advocacy. The Center approaches its work through holistic, intersectional, and social justice frameworks that honor and empower individuals at their many identities and lived experiences including but not limited to race, ethnicity, immigration status, ability, religion, and class.
The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center’s envisions a UCLA community that is equitable and affirming of all identities, where people of all genders and sexual and romantic orientations feel celebrated, respected, and empowered.
