Mel Pollner Prize for Best Term Paper

The department will award a cash prize of $250 to the best research paper or critical essay written by a graduating senior in this academic year (including 199 courses), and the previous Spring quarter. Nominees must be nominated by a sociology faculty member or TA and sociology faculty and TAs may each nominate no more than one student. The Undergraduate Education Committee (UEC) will determine the winner.

Nominations will be based on a specific paper submitted in any of the following quarters, in any Sociology course:

Spring 2021, Fall 2021 or Winter 2022
