Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria

Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (FIGR’s) UC Scholarship provides in-state Tuition and Student Service Fees for students who are California Native Americans but not members of a federally recognized tribe. This scholarship applies to undergraduate and graduate students for professional and non-professional degrees.

Documentation Required:

  1. Completed Application
  2. A copy of the applicant’s state-issued photo identification card or driver’s license
  3. One of the following:
    *CDIB showing a California tribal affiliation; or
    *Original or Certified copies of original birth or death certificates for each generation of the applicants’ ancestry linking them back to a person with a CDIB showing a California tribal affiliation, on the California census rolls of 1928 or 1933, or on the California Judgement Fund Rolls of 1953 or 1972; and
  4. Completed family tree form, if applicable

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the FIGR UC Scholarship, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  1. Not a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe;
  2. Either:
    *Have a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) showing a California tribal affiliation;
    or
    *Descend from a person with a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) showing a California tribal affiliation, on the California census rolls of 1928 or 1933, or on the California Judgement Fund Rolls of 1953 or 1972;
  3. California Resident;
  4. Current or newly admitted UC undergraduate, graduate, or professional school student, and
  5. Enrolled in a Qualifying UC Degree Program
